Google publishes an end-of-support date for every Pixel model, and once it passes the patches stop at the source — no downstream build can replace them. There is nothing further to pay: no renewal, no yearly fee, and no account to keep alive — there is no account at all. The checkout asks for a billing country, and for an email address only if you want your license links sent to you.
